LETTER #: L120

To:

Anna & Laura Tirocchi

From:

Mrs. Harold J. Gross

Address of Sender:

43 Orchard Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island

Text:

My dear Miss Tirocchi

I regret very much my delay in settling my account with you. As you know nothing like this has happened during all my business relations with you until the last year - my credit has always been maintained. The fact is that owing to business conditions beyond my control - my income has been temporarily reduced to a point which has made it impossible for the time being - to meet my obligations. Your account is absolutely secure - will be paid without question - but I am obliged to ask you for still further extension of time - a few months. I dislike very much to ask your further forbearance because I realize your need of money in these times, but I am sure you will understand that I am sincere in my intentions & that you will trust my ability to over come a situation which has unfortunately interfered with my usual custom of prompt payment of indebtedness.
