Text:

We have moved to, 1461 Girard St., Washington D.C.

Dear Anna,

I have at last located the box at 1716 Euclid Street where they had held it for a week. I am sending the black dress back however as it is impossible for me to wear it as it is and I am very much disappointed as I needed one badly. Will have to buy another dress here and you can hold this and fix it when I come to Providence. dont attempt to altar it without me. I wonder how you happened to make this style? You know I like the slender fitted line and this looks like a maternity dress - but even in that condition I never wore these wrapper styles. Also I said particularly that I wanted it all black with nothing to relieve it but one french flower and this black and white tulle sash kills it; the straping also does not fit and it is far too low in front so it would have to be fitted anyway and I dont know any one down here to do it, so just keep it for the future. I think I will let the suit go as I am afraid long distance fitting wont work. When I come home, which will not be for some time as our plans have changed, I will come out.

Very truly yous.

Mrs. A. D. Champlin
