Commerce and artistic influences flowed between East and West. Japanese manufacturers pursued the market for luxury fabrics in Europe and America. The narrow width of this cloth suggests that it was woven in Japan, while the Jazz Age triangle pattern and its presence in the Tirocchi shop both indicate that it was made for the Western market.
